Event Horizon studios are set in 30,000 Sqm (3 hectares/8 acres) of private land (owned by Julienne) and is close to the sea. The land is primarily an olive grove at the beginning of the Havgas gorge. There is a gigantic Mediterranean Oak spread so broadly that it becomes a tree house. There are plenty of places to walk and muse on the land. It is effectively a nature reserve and so there are no crazing animals allowed resulting in a plethora of Cretan Fauna visible all year round. Accommodation - Post-Modern Gypsy Caravan in Fourni Village. Julienne collaborated with creative locals to build this caravan. It is set on private land with breath-taking mountain views. The Gypsy Caravan is 2.5 km from Event Horizon Studios and comes with two bicycles. The surrounding area is mountainous and is surrounded by olive trees. The studio buildings are made from shipping containers set in 3 hectares (8 acres) of nature reserve and olive grove meadows. The 130sqm container studio building is insulated with Polystyrene foamboard under Marine Ply cladding on the outside walls and PolTherma DS sandwich panels on the roof. The design layout forms a square tunnel with many windows and doors opening onto an atrium for natural light.
