Booking through Artelio is simple. Every creative stay and residency on our platform can be booked directly, without lengthy applications, waiting lists or competitive selection processes. Once you've found a space that suits your practice, simply choose your dates, submit your booking request and wait for the host to respond, usually within 24 hours.

Creative Stays vs Residencies
You'll notice that some listings are described as Creative Stays and others as Residencies.
In practice, there is often significant overlap between the two. The distinction is less about what you can achieve there and more about how the host views and operates the space.
Creative Stays
Creative Stays are typically hosted by individual creatives, creative families or independent hosts who open up their homes, studios, workshops, recording spaces or unique properties to fellow creatives.
They tend to offer a more personal, flexible and self-directed experience, allowing guests to immerse themselves in a creative environment while maintaining complete freedom over their project and schedule.
Residencies
Residencies are usually operated by dedicated organisations, foundations, studios or businesses that have been specifically established to support artists and creative practitioners.
They may offer specialist facilities, structured programmes, community engagement opportunities, mentorship, workshops or shared creative communities, although many are also entirely self-directed.
Platform Fees
To support the operation of the platform and the secure processing of payments, Artelio charges a Platform Fee of 4% and a Processing Fee of 2.5% to creatives at checkout. These fees help cover platform services, payment processing costs, security, fraud prevention and ongoing improvements to the platform. Fees may be updated from time to time and any applicable fees will always be displayed here.
